Fall in Florida doesn't mean changing leaves or cooler weather, but it does mean that you have an excuse to eat all the pumpkin-flavored treats that you want and make your home smell like cinnamon! Check out this recipe on my website that will have your house smelling like Fall, even though the outdoors don't look or feel like Fall!
Ingredients:
Citrus Peels
Cloves
Cinnamon Sticks
Pumpkin Spice
Vanilla Extracts
Instructions:
Fill a small pot {or slow cooker or tea kettle} with water
After it boils, turn it down to a simmer and include your ingredients
Here are the ingredients I use:
Tangerine peels {I don’t eat oranges, so I never have orange peels on hand}
Cloves
Cinnamon sticks {You can also do ground cinnamon}
Vanilla extract
Pumpkin pie spice {Very optional}
Refill the water as needed, usually around every 3o minutes. You may need to turn it up to a boil very briefly when refilling the water. Don’t go for too long or the peels may burn and that’s not a very pleasant smell
Simmer for as long as you like! You can keep it going for up to a week before needing to replace the ingredients. Don’t forget to turn it off when you leave the house!
Get cozy and enjoy!
